Description

Own the end-to-end architecture of cloud-native application solutions on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on application modernization and Kubernetes (GKE) design.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern target architectures, non-functional requirements, and technology trade-offs across application, data, integration, and platform layers.
• Design microservices-based systems (Java, Node.js, Python), REST APIs, and event-driven architectures to guide cloud migration efforts.
• Architect scalable, secure GKE platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code integrations using Pub/Sub.
• Translate business needs into architectural roadmaps, lead design reviews, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
• Establish standards, reusable patterns, and mentor architects and tech leads to drive architectural consistency.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of related experience in software architecture and engineering.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Strong background in application architecture, including microservices and API design.
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, and Python for application development and modernization.
• Experience with data services such as BigQuery and Cloud SQL.
• Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to lead across multiple teams and manage client-facing architectural outcomes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with pre-sales activities and supporting technical bids.
• Exposure to messaging systems and event-driven architectures beyond standard Pub/Sub.
