Description

You will design and document a custom-built software solution to modernize child welfare systems through a transition from legacy mainframe environments to Azure Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develop a transition strategy from FACS mainframe systems (COBOL, IDMS) to an Azure tenant-based solution.
• Own the application architecture, design, and documentation for internal and external components and system interfaces.
• Establish and own the solutions architecture and technology roadmap for the product team.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to document business drivers, capabilities, and current/future state processes.
• Extend the architecture runway to sustain delivery velocity toward MVP release.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in architecture or related technical roles.
• Experience with COBOL and IDMS mainframe environments.
• Hands-on experience working within an Azure tenant.
• Ability to design systems integration and data sharing interfaces.
• Experience working within an Agile Product Delivery framework.
• Knowledge of aligning technology blueprints with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks or TOGAF standards.
• Capability to translate complex technical concepts for product owners and non-technical stakeholders.
