Description

Design and document large-scale IT systems involving heterogeneous technologies and complex integration points.

Responsibilities

• Design application architectures for large systems using event-driven, microservices, and web-queue-worker patterns.
• Model business, application, and technology layers using ArchiMate, UML, or BPMN 2.0.
• Gather and document technical requirements through direct collaboration with business and technical users.
• Architect modern applications utilizing cloud services and hybrid solutions that interface with on-premises systems.
• Navigate organizational politics and manage client expectations to implement change management initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience designing systems architectures utilizing SOA-based technologies including SOAP and REST.
• 10 years of experience designing IT solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• 10 years of experience managing multiple tasks and changing priorities in cross-functional environments.
• 5 years of experience as a Development Lead or Application Architect.
• 5 years of experience in Agile product development teams.
• 5 years of experience architecting applications using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• 5 years of experience with TOGAF frameworks.
• 5 years of experience using Mainframe Modernization Patterns like Strangler Fig.
• 2 years of experience using Enterprise Architecture tools such as Bizzdesign.
• 2 years of experience using LucidChart or similar diagramming tools.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of experience working in State Government.
• 4 years of experience managing client expectations and change management.
