Responsibilities

• Receive epic and feature assignments and direction from the train architect.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development technical leads to refine and understand requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Domain Lead architects to seek guidance and validate solutions affecting other domains.
• Work with integration architects to deliver solution artifacts including sketches, presentations, and technical documentation.
• Engage directly with business customers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Continuously develop and refine business and systems subject matter expertise.
• Identify and apply architecture patterns to solutions; create new patterns when addressing new ground.
• Present solution designs to various stakeholder groups including architecture teams, infrastructure subject matter experts, and business leaders for review and feedback.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, partners, and development teams.

Qualifications

Required

• Senior-level Solutions Architect experience with a proven background in application development.
• Proven end-to-end Solutions Architect experience, working with all groups including non-technical stakeholders.
• Architectural and technical expertise with cloud platforms, especially GCP and AWS, including native services, cloud-agnostic solutions, containers, and cloud/SaaS systems integration.
• Experience designing REST APIs that facilitate strong developer experience or simplify systems integration.
• Experience designing systems that leverage Kafka for messaging and streaming.
• Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB); understanding of benefits, trade-offs, normalization, denormalization, sharding, and other data-centric patterns.
• Experience designing and developing complex systems using disciplined and rigorous approaches.
• Proficiency in requirements analysis, estimation, systems design, and application design.
• Familiarity with popular design patterns.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing, and consensus-building skills; ability to work effectively across all job functions including product, program management, and development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision; self-directed.
• Demonstrated experience delivering superior software products via Agile methodologies.
• Experience on Agile teams.
• Experience with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies including Java, JavaScript, Node.js, messaging and queuing infrastructures.
• Experience with distributed computing architectures, including understanding of race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.
• Strong team collaboration skills with a proven track record on large and complex systems.

Preferred

• Experience with SAFe Software Development Principles.
• Experience with distributed caching solutions and factors that enable effective caching.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices
