Description

Validate product requirements by designing complex network topologies and executing exhaustive test plans in lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and build network topologies to emulate specific customer use cases and environments.
• Configure hardware, features, and traffic generators to simulate realistic scale and performance requirements.
• Troubleshoot failures and performance shortcomings through reproduction, root cause analysis, and fix verification.
• Collaborate with development, sales, and support teams to address escalated customer issues and technical requirements.
• Communicate test results and provide recommendations for design and performance improvements to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in a System Test or Solution Test role handling complex end-to-end environments.
• Deep working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies including OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS, eVPN, ECMP, VRRP, STP, RSTP, MST, PVST+, and LACP.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 switch administration using industry-standard CLI and SNMP interfaces.
• Proficiency with Linux networking tools such as tcpdump, iproute2, iperf, traceroute, and vmstat.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL.
• Ability to operate independently to reproduce, debug, and document product limitations.
