Description

You will manage mechanical design lifecycles and product upgrades within the consumer appliance space.

Responsibilities

• Execute design changes, including cost-benefit analysis and response effectivity evaluations.
• Manage 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, service BOMs, and TDS while adhering to ISO revision and document control processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, R&D Engineering, factories, and suppliers to drive quality improvements and establish change intent.
• Lead value engineering and value analysis projects to enhance product lifecycles.
• Escalate project disagreements and coordinate with critical component manufacturers.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in design and development.
• Hands-on proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Experience with product design for plastics, sheet metal, and rubber.
• Strong understanding of GD&T fundamentals.
• Knowledge of PLM and PDM systems.
• Practical application of DFMEA, PFMEA, and KAPA.
• Familiarity with NPD processes and manufacturing processes.
• Background in VA/VE tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience specifically in consumer appliance design.
