Description

Manage, expand, and optimize Splunk infrastructure to meet architectural and deployment needs.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and scale Splunk environments based on future design requirements.
• Design, implement, and optimize Splunk applications, queries, knowledge objects, data models, and Enterprise Security.
• Develop and coordinate distributed Splunk applications from requirement gathering through deployment.
• Define reusable view templates and enforce retention and archival policies.
• Automate processes using Python and basic scripting tasks within the Splunk ecosystem.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years managing, designing, and configuring Splunk environments.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Unix environment (administration, scripting, or application support).
• Mandatory Splunk Core Admin experience and Splunk Admin Certification.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python.
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security Premium Application and Splunk Enterprise.
• Experience with Git and Jira.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Kafka.
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration principles.
• 8+ years of overall IT experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible.
• Knowledge of Phantom or Cribl.
