Description

You will own the Splunk engineering lifecycle for a large-scale enterprise environment, managing thousands of hosts and global applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new systems and manage user access within Splunk.
• Configure, manage, and optimize Syslog-ng infrastructure.
• Build and refine SPL queries, dashboards, and indexes.
• Improve log ingestion rates and data pipeline efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on Splunk engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of Splunk architecture and best practices.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Strong experience with Syslog-ng configuration and management.
• Solid background in Syslog protocols and log management.
• Ability to optimize data ingestion pipelines for performance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting global, multi-region applications.
• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise security logging.
