Description

Manage data ingestion and maintain the Splunk backend across the Operations Technology Network in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Engineer data ingestion by onboarding new sources and modifying existing ones.
• Manage Splunk backend operations including index onboarding and maintenance.
• Install, update, and research Splunk apps and add-ons.
• Administer Red Hat Linux systems, including security patching and updates.
• Participate in on-call rotations for Splunk-related outages.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Splunk engineering and administration.
• Proficiency with Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES).
• Hands-on experience with Splunk index and log source management.
• Red Hat Linux administration skills, including syslog administration and maintenance.
• Strong networking knowledge to understand data flows.
• Practical knowledge of Splunk Gov Cloud.
• Proven experience with Change Management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
