Description

You will design, build, and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations for enterprise monitoring.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and normalize data sources to align with Splunk Common Information Model (CIM) standards.
• Develop, optimize, and debug complex SPL queries to ensure performance and accuracy.
• Integrate diverse data sources using Splunk DB Connect, SQL queries, and REST APIs.
• Build and package custom Splunk apps and add-ons to extend platform functionality.
• Automate operational tasks using Python or shell scripting and maintain clear technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Splunk development.
• Advanced knowledge of Splunk Enterprise architecture and configuration.
• Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) for complex data extraction and analysis.
• Experience implementing CIM standards for data normalization and correlation.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk DB Connect, SQL, and REST API integrations.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Shell for automation and tooling.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Splunk certifications (Admin, Developer, or Architect).
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), IT Service Intelligence (ITSI), or Observability Cloud.
• Platform experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
