Description

You will be a Splunk Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing complex logging and monitoring infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Write complex and optimized Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries using transforming commands, eval functions, and sub searches.
• Collect, process, and index data from diverse sources, managing forwarders and data inputs across various environments.
• Develop meaningful reports, graphs, and interactive dashboards to communicate operational insights.
• Automate data collection and processing workflows using scripting languages.
• Monitor and troubleshoot IT systems, networking, and security issues within complex environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in SPL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience managing data ingestion via Syslog-NG, Cribl, AWS Lambda, and Azure Function Apps.
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and security principles.
• Experience with self-hosted and Splunk GovCloud environments.
• Experience integrating with Archer, ServiceNow, Azure, and AWS.
