Description

Manage and optimize large-scale data ingestion and storage within Splunk environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze 300 TB of data to identify patterns and locate non-standard logs.
• Configure data ingestion, tooling, and integrations for structured and unstructured datasets.
• Assess data storage challenges and risks to identify potential system improvements.
• Ensure data quality across diverse formats including JSON, CSV, and CloudWatch files.
• Document data analysis processes and field audit requests.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Splunk engineering.
• Expert-level Splunk SPL skills, specifically for data filtering, index commands, and file-based filtering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Splunk data storage and ingestion.
• Proven ability to work with JSON, CSV, and raw unstructured datasets.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience managing large-scale data environments.

Preferred Skills

• Scripting experience with Golang or Python.
• Experience working within AWS environments.
