Description

You will design and maintain production-grade Spring Boot services and RESTful APIs for a regulated financial domain.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize backend services using Core Java (17+) and Spring Boot, MVC, and Data JPA.
• Design secure RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and implement the BFF pattern.
• Integrate backend services with Angular SPAs, managing CORS, authentication flows, and error contracts.
• Deploy and manage applications on Azure (App Service, AKS, API Management) using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality through Git workflows and rigorous code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional backend experience, including 3+ years with Spring Boot.
• Strong Core Java skills: collections, concurrency, streams, generics, and JVM fundamentals.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth 2.1, PKCE, refresh-token rotation, and mTLS.
• Experience with messaging and streaming via Kafka and caching with Redis.
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS/EKS).
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Helm.
• Strong Git workflow discipline and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to contract-first development practices.
• Familiarity with the insurance or financial services domain.
