Description

You will manage and support critical database environments across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the database portion of application releases and implement technology projects as the primary DBA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve live database system issues, providing 24x7 production support.
• Execute database migrations, cloning, and refreshes, including migrations to cloud environments.
• Build PL/SQL procedures to satisfy data load and migration requirements from developers and architects.
• Implement disaster recovery, backup, and restore processes, including regular testing.
• Mentor team members on DBA tasks and emerging technologies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL (versions 8.3, 8.4, 9.0).
• 6 to 9 years of experience in MySQL database administration, including internals, configuration, and replication.
• Mandatory experience with NDB Clusters and migrating MySQL Fabric Replication Shards to NDB Cluster 7.4.
• Expertise in Oracle Backup & Recovery.
• Proficiency in SQL, PSQL scripting, and developing Stored Procedures.
• Strong understanding of query execution plans, indexing, partitions, and storage engines.
• Experience with replication strategies and third-party replication systems like Tungsten.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with Incident Management and Change Management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in database replication.
