Description

You will manage SQL database administration, ensuring performance, security, and availability across Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to database problems and perform periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Write, optimize, and profile in-application SQL statements.
  • Handle database procedures including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migration.
  • Protect databases against threats and unauthorized access.
  • Prepare documentation, specifications, and performance usage reports.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in SQL database administration.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows 10.
  • Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements.
  • Experience configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters.
  • Knowledge of relational database best practices and security protocols.
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
  • Proficient in tools for profiling server resource usage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing databases with front-end and back-end users in mind.
