Responsibilities
- Respond to database problems and perform periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Write, optimize, and profile in-application SQL statements.
- Handle database procedures including upgrades, backups, recovery, and migration.
- Protect databases against threats and unauthorized access.
- Prepare documentation, specifications, and performance usage reports.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in SQL database administration.
- Proficiency with Windows Server 2008/2012 and Windows 10.
- Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements.
- Experience configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters.
- Knowledge of relational database best practices and security protocols.
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications.
- Proficient in tools for profiling server resource usage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing databases with front-end and back-end users in mind.
