Description

Manage and optimize large-scale SQL and MySQL database environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures. Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability for databases ranging from 10TB to 30TB.

Responsibilities

• Manage database migrations, builds, and decommissioning in coordination with application owners.
• Troubleshoot production issues, application upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery implementations.
• Execute capacity planning, performance analysis, and operational performance reporting.
• Drive service improvements and implement automation for routine database tasks.
• Provide on-call and weekend support for SQL and MySQL on a rotational basis.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Expertise in query optimization, performance troubleshooting, and MSSQL server internals.
• Hands-on experience managing large databases (10TB–30TB) with advanced knowledge of table partitioning, maintenance, Always On, and clustering.
• Proficiency in automation using PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Experience with AWS services including RDS, S3, and Redshift.
• Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Azure and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerBI.
• MS certifications on latest MSSQL versions or AWS/Azure certifications.
