Description

You will own the design, maintenance, and performance tuning of SQL Server database environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design logical and physical database models, data dictionaries, and schema structures.
• Perform performance tuning, parameter optimization, and efficiency improvements.
• Manage data security, access control (DCL), and disaster recovery procedures.
• Execute database utility programs and third-party tools to monitor system health.
• Direct programmers and analysts on database modifications and coding standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, DDL, and DCL.
• Experience with PowerShell and Python scripting for automation.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and GitHub for version control and CI/CD.
• Ability to perform data modeling, prototyping, and logical-to-physical translation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Understanding of computer programming principles and systems design.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with benchmarking and threshold testing of databases.
• Familiarity with 3rd party database utility programs.
