Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, security, and performance of relational database systems and environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute database installations, upgrades, migrations, and security patching at OS and MS SQL Server levels.
• Design and implement database structures, relational schemas, and tables.
• Manage user access, security administration, and authentication modes to comply with security policies.
• Perform routine backup, disaster recovery, and high availability operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including slow queries, indexing, partitioning, and ETL processes.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server, Oracle database, Hadoop, or PostgreSQL.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of backup/recovery, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery options.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of VMWare environments and storage hardware/software.
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
• Fluency in Mandarin/Chinese.

Preferred Skills

• Experience writing PowerShell or Python.
• Oracle and MS certified Database Administrator credentials.
