SQL Database Administrator

You will support, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server database environments.

Responsibilities

• Administrate, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, staging, and production environments.
• Perform regular database maintenance, including backups, recovery, and tuning.
• Execute performance monitoring, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage database objects and procedures.
• Manage database security through roles, permissions, and access controls.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of recent and relevant SQL Server DBA experience.
• Proficiency with SQL Server 2016+.
• Hands-on experience with SQL development, including stored procedures, views, and triggers.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL or AWS RDS.
• Experience with automation or scripting using PowerShell or T-SQL.
• Understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) concepts.
