Description

You will design, install, and maintain SQL database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You own the release pipeline for database changes, including upgrades and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database performance and implement improvements to optimize latency, throughput, and capacity planning.
• Develop and enforce database security standards, ensuring data integrity and compliance with security protocols.
• Conduct regular database health checks, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure needs and deliver reliable solutions.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience managing SQL database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with database scripting languages.
• Proven experience with database optimization, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum methodologies, and tools like JIRA, Confluence.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud database services like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL.
