You manage SQL database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across the infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain SQL database environments while enforcing security standards and data integrity protocols.
• Monitor database performance, implementing improvements to optimize latency, throughput, and capacity planning.
• Conduct regular health checks, backups, and disaster recovery procedures, including execution of upgrade and migration projects.
• Collaborate with developers and system administrators to resolve complex database issues and provide guidance on best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing SQL database environments, including optimization, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Extensive proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience with database scripting languages.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of database security best practices and compliance standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
