Description

You will manage, secure, and optimize a diverse range of RDBMS and NoSQL database platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and deploy database technologies including Db2 LUW, Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, AWS RDS, and Redshift.
• Develop automation and DB DevSecOps pipelines to provision, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
• Execute database migrations and upgrades to new platforms or DBMS versions.
• Monitor capacity, high-availability, and performance to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain backup and recovery strategies and implement security, audit, and compliance measures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience with Db2 LUW, Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in managing at least two different DBMS technologies.
• Experience with AWS RDS, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
• 1+ year of experience with database automation and DB DevSecOps using tools such as Ansible, AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, Liquibase, shell scripting, Python, or SQL.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for production and non-production troubleshooting.
• Ability to participate in on-call or shift duty to respond to critical issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
