Required Qualifications – SQL Server Administration

• Minimum 6 years of experience in SQL Server 2016 or later database administration.
• Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining SQL Servers, including applying service packs.
• Experience performing routine database maintenance, including:
• Creating and scheduling SQL Server jobs for database maintenance.
• Rebuilding indexes and updating statistics.
• Performing database consistency checks.
• Monitoring SQL Server error logs and Windows event logs.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server native tools and services, including SQL Server Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor, SQL Server Configuration Manager, Extended Events, Performance Monitor, Dynamic Management Views (DMVs), SQL Server Broker Service, Linked Servers, MSDTC, system databases, Database Mail, health checks, and policies.
• Experience managing SQL Server security and auditing, including user security, database roles, authentication methods, SQL Server and database auditing, and encryption at rest, in transit, and for backups.
• Experience with capacity planning for storage and database objects, including disk space management, index and statistics usage, and storage management for Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFSC).
• Experience establishing database backup standards and schedules.
• Ability to develop recovery procedures that meet Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
• Experience restoring databases using point-in-time recovery.
• Experience creating and testing disaster recovery plans.
• Proficiency in T-SQL coding, performance tuning, and ETL methodologies.
• Experience with SQL Server high-availability methods, including database mirroring and Always On.

Required Qualifications – Windows Server Administration

• Minimum 4 years of Windows Server administration experience.
• Experience building and maintaining Windows host and guest servers.
• Experience installing and managing endpoint protection.
• Experience configuring and maintaining application servers, web servers, file servers, and FTP servers.
• Experience using PowerShell for administration tasks.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Windows Failover Clusters.
• Knowledge of Windows Server roles and features.
• Familiarity with .NET Framework components.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance.
• Familiarity with security standards, including PUB1075, FIPS, and requirements for protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, including cloud storage, backup, and restoration mechanisms.
• Experience with firewall administration and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN), DNS servers, and Service Principal Names (SPN).
• Experience troubleshooting email, SMTP, and proxy servers.
• Experience supporting and maintaining web services.
• Availability to provide 24-hour support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
