Description

You will manage and maintain MS SQL database environments, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity across production and non-production systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement MS SQL database management systems and optimize database access.
• Develop complex queries, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions using MS T-SQL.
• Create and maintain reports in Azure Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including parameters and drill-down features.
• Produce technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, and design documents.
• Perform backup and recovery operations and collaborate with Business Analysts on project materials.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with MS SQL database management, design, and administration.
• 8+ years of experience writing complex MS T-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including parameters, sub-reports, and drill-down technologies.
• 5+ years of experience testing custom applications, reports, dashboards, and large data sets.
• 5+ years of experience producing technical documentation and design specifications.
• 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining reports in Azure Power BI.
• 3+ years of experience developing with web applications.
• 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (TFS), Visual Studio .NET, and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• Experience with MVC, C#, and ADO.
• Experience working in state government, specifically in Education or Early Learning.
