Description

Lead the architectural design and data migration of a high-usage transactional system from legacy platforms to AWS cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Document as-is schemas in Informix and SQL Server, mapping data interfaces and downstream impacts.
• Define the technical architecture for the new transactional system, including physical components and functionality.
• Oversee the design and execution of legacy data migration and conversion processes.
• Create, reverse engineer, and forward engineer data models within an AWS SQL Server environment.
• Create source-to-target mapping documentation for data extraction and reporting processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in a Data Architect role.
• 8+ years of data modeling in SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
• 8+ years of experience analyzing technical requirements, generating designs, and maintaining data models.
• 8+ years of RDBMS database development and designing high-availability/high-usage transactional systems.
• 8+ years of experience with database tuning and profiling source data/referential integrity.
• 6+ years of experience with Informix DBMS.
• 6+ years of experience with MS SQL Server DBMS.
• 2+ years of experience managing RDBMS in AWS.

Preferred Skills

• 4+ years of experience with multiple RDBMS types such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle.
