Description

You will design and execute large-scale SQL Server migrations from on-premises environments to Azure Cloud, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Migrate SQL Server databases using DMA, DMS, and log shipping while defining migration requirements with stakeholders.
• Configure HA/DR solutions across multiple Azure subnets and regions, including Always On Availability Groups.
• Design logical and physical database models, managing storage capacity and performance optimization.
• Administer security policies, resource governance, and Azure Key Vault integrations.
• Upgrade legacy SQL Server versions (200x-2022) and troubleshoot Windows/SQL Server issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a SQL DBA in mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on expertise migrating SQL Server to Azure Cloud.
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server HA/DR architectures and Always On Availability Groups.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Strong understanding of Azure services for SQL workloads, networking, and security.
• Experience with migration tools: DMA, DMS, and log shipping.
• Proven ability in database performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows Server and SQL Server platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with customers and architects on complex migration programs.
