Description

You will architect and execute complex SQL Server migrations into Azure Cloud environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions in Azure across multiple subnets and regions.
• Migrate SQL Server databases from on-premises to Azure Cloud using DMA, DMS, and log shipping.
• Administer database security policies, resource governance, and Azure Key Vault integrations.
• Design, implement, and operate database systems optimized for performance, availability, and reliability in Azure.
• Drive cloud solutioning activities for large-scale SQL Server migrations alongside customers and architects.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a SQL DBA managing large-scale, mission-critical SQL Server environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in migrating SQL Server databases from on-premises to Azure Cloud.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server HA/DR architectures including Always On Availability Groups.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Strong understanding of Azure services related to SQL workloads, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience using migration tools such as DMA, DMS, and log shipping.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows Server and SQL Server platforms.
• Experience in database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
