Description

You will design, develop, and maintain database solutions for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and unit test database programs, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers, based on technical specifications.
• Design new database storage structures and implement updates to existing schemas.
• Fix defects in database objects reported via QA and customer support.
• Architect solutions for new functionality and optimize database performance and concurrency.
• Document technical database designs and implement improvements for maintainability and reuse.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working for a software vendor.
• Proficiency in T-SQL programming using SQL Server 2012 or higher.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming using Oracle 12 or higher.
• Strong experience writing, maintaining, testing, and debugging database code.
• Ability to estimate effort, establish work plans, and manage tasks to completion independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Tools including Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Experience with enterprise software applications or reporting tools.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot problems involving high volumes of data.
