Description

Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server environments to ensure operational stability and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances, implementing clustering, mirroring, and Always On solutions.
• Act as the L3 escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex database incidents, deadlocks, and locking issues.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, index management, and monitoring tools like SQL Profiler.
• Manage automated backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data reliability.
• Enforce security measures, including access control, encryption, and user permission management.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in SQL database administration.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2012, 2016, 2019, or newer).
• Proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SSIS package development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server clustering, replication, and Always On availability groups.
• Technical proficiency with PowerShell, Azure SQL, and AWS.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in SQL Server.
