Description

You will develop, maintain, and optimize database programs for Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and unit test database programs, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers, based on specifications.
• Design new database storage structures and implement updates to existing architectures.
• Correct defects in database objects reported through QA and customer support channels.
• Participate in architecting solutions for new functionality and optimizing database performance and concurrency.
• Assemble technical database documentation and identify opportunities for better maintainability and software reuse.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working for a company that sells software.
• Proficiency in T-SQL programming using Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming using Oracle 12 or higher.
• Strong ability to write, maintain, test, and debug code.
• Experience managing workloads to meet requirements and timelines without detailed supervision.
• Ability to estimate effort, establish work plans, and manage tasks to completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Tools including Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Experience with enterprise software applications or reporting tools requiring heavy database programming.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot problems related to high volumes of data.
