Description

You will lead large-scale SQL Server migrations to Azure and architect database solutions for complex environments. You own the end-to-end migration strategy and execution for on-premises to Azure transitions.

Responsibilities

• Configure SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including Failover Cluster Instances and Availability Groups, across multiple subnets and regions.
• Manage database security, policies, resource governance, and Azure Key Vault configurations.
• Plan storage and capacity management by creating logical and physical data models.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server versions ranging from 200x to 2022 on Windows and Linux.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to define requirements and deliver migration solutions.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years focused on Azure Database Migration.
• Expertise in migrating SQL Server using DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, log shipping, and backup/restore methods.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL scripting and PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience managing SQL Server, Windows, and Linux server landscapes.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support and work flexible shifts.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate.
• DP-300: Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions.
• AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions.
