Description

You will manage, optimize, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (2016–2022), including patching and service packs.
• Analyze T-SQL queries and execution plans to identify bottlenecks, using Query Store to pin optimal plans.
• Manage database security, user roles, permissions, and storage allocation for CPU, RAM, disk, and TempDB.
• Maintain high availability through Always On Availability Groups and replication, while managing index statistics and rebuilds.
• Administer SSIS packages and SQL Agent jobs, and troubleshoot database blocking and performance issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and T-SQL optimization.
• Deep understanding of execution plans, Query Store, and index partitioning strategies.
• Proficiency in managing Always On Availability Groups and replication topologies.
• Experience with SSIS and SQL Agent job administration in application development environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to evaluate and allocate system resources for optimal database performance.

Preferred Skills

• Operational knowledge of SolarWinds DPA and Dynatrace for API-DB call tracing.
