Description

Manage and optimize large-scale MSSQL database environments in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Optimize queries and troubleshoot performance issues for databases ranging from 10TB to 30TB.
• Manage table partitioning and execute database maintenance tasks at an expert level.
• Troubleshoot High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) setups, specifically Always On and clustering.
• Develop automation scripts for database tasks using PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Administer MSSQL Server environments and integrate with AWS cloud services.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Deep understanding of MSSQL server internals.
• Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Always On availability groups and clustering.
• Proficiency in automation using PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Experience managing large databases (10TB - 30TB).
• Working knowledge of AWS RDS, S3, and Redshift.
• Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure, Snowflake, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of PowerBI.
• MS certifications on latest MSSQL versions or AWS/Azure certifications.
