Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale database environments, ensuring high availability and performance across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production issues, application upgrades, patches, and performance bottlenecks.
• Execute database migrations, builds, and decommissioning in coordination with application owners.
• Implement disaster recovery, capacity planning, and service improvement initiatives.
• Manage change implementations during business hours and weekends following change management processes.
• Provide rotational on-call and weekend support for SQL and MySQL environments.

Required Skills

• 5 to 8 years of experience in SQL Server administration.
• Expertise in MSSQL server internals, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience managing large databases ranging from 10TB to 30TB.
• Advanced knowledge of table partitioning and maintenance.
• Proven experience with HA/DR, including Always On and clustering.
• Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or T-SQL.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services including RDS, S3, and Redshift.
• Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure, Snowflake, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of PowerBI.
• MS certifications on latest MSSQL versions or AWS/Azure certifications.
