Description

You will manage, monitor, and optimize relational database platforms to ensure stability and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own the resolution of database incidents, service alerts, and performance requests.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues using wait state analysis and hardware analysis.
• Deploy database change scripts across multiple environments and manage release activities.
• Maintain system stability through capacity planning, backups, restores, and high-speed transaction recovery.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with relational database platforms, specifically VLDBs.
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2014 through 2022) and SSRS.
• Strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedure, trigger, and constraint development.
• Experience with Log Shipping, Mirroring, Always-on technologies, and Replication.
• Proficiency in database design, normalization, and data warehouse schema development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Database, Snowflake, and MS-Windows environments.
• Proven ability in SQL query performance tuning and database configuration management.
• Experience with Foglight or similar third-party monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within the healthcare industry.
