Description

You will provide L3 support for SQL Server and other database platforms hosted on-premises and in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and other Azure data services including Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Design, implement, and maintain HA/DR solutions using Always On, Geo-replication, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure CLI to streamline operations and deployments.
• Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Query Store.
• Act as the escalation point for critical incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in T-SQL and PowerShell for automation.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency managing Cosmos DB and Azure Database services.
• Experience with performance tuning, backup/restore, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of database security, including encryption, auditing, and role-based access control.
• Experience implementing HA/DR solutions.
• Degree in any graduate field.
