Description

You will manage the performance, reliability, and resilience of manufacturing databases.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Optimize SQL queries and execution plans using profiling tools to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Configure and monitor SQL Server Always-On Availability Groups (AG) clusters for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Develop, test, and execute disaster recovery plans and failover processes to minimize downtime.
• Manage storage configurations and apply best practices to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Resolve production database issues and log incidents using Jira.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MS SQL and Azure SQL.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Always-On Availability Groups (AG) management.
• Advanced performance tuning skills, including partitioning, indexing strategies, and I/O optimization.
• Experience with SolarWinds SQL Sentry for monitoring and dashboard creation.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Proven ability in database profiling and query plan analysis.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and capacity forecasting.
• Bachelor's degree.
