Description

You will manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring system health and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize database servers, processes, and Windows Failover Clusters.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and manage SQL AlwaysOn configurations.
• Perform SQL patching and support OS-level infrastructure updates.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and scripts.
• Manage database backups to Azure storage and refresh lower environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with SQL Server.
• Experience managing Azure Cloud resources, services, and SQL migrations.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps for SQL code deployments and CI/CD automation.
• Ability to write and maintain PowerShell and SQL scripts.
• Familiarity with managing Azure SQL VMs and access controls via Azure AD groups.
• Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools such as Sentry or Redgate.
• Knowledge of incident and change management processes.
