Description

Manage and optimize NoSQL database infrastructure across production and non-production environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer NoSQL databases (Redis, Memsql, CockroachDB, MongoDb, Cassandra) and perform debugging, tuning, and performance enhancement.
• Write shell scripts for automation of installation and support, and use BladeLogic for continuous integration job execution.
• Identify database inefficiencies and implement improved solutions to ensure scalability and capacity planning.
• Assist developers with schema changes, access levels, and plan database upgrades and migrations.
• Manage cluster configurations, including node bootstrapping, consistency tuning, replication, and multi-DC setup.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
• Deep knowledge of NoSQL database design, maintenance, and administration.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as BladeLogic and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cluster management, monitoring, and compaction strategies.
• Proficiency in database backup, recovery, security, and role management.
• Ability to work in high-volume environments and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with SQL database administration alongside NoSQL systems.
