Description

You will manage, administer, and optimize SQL Server databases for production systems, focusing on performance, availability, security, and automation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server database servers and processes.
• Ensure high performance and security through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
• Automate routine processes and document all changes and procedures.
• Assist developers with query tuning, schema refinement, and performance optimization.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, backups, restores, and support release deployment activities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server administration and management.
• Strong experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Hands-on expertise with backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Proven experience implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
• Proficiency with Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for real-time issue resolution.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• Ability to work in on-site settings in Plano, TX.
