Description

Manage logical and physical database administration across on-premises and Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day DBA tasks including backups, restores, health checks, and monitoring.
• Manage database migrations, refreshes, and version upgrades for on-premises and Azure cloud instances.
• Perform performance tuning to resolve SQL blocking, locking, and application-level issues.
• Implement disaster recovery, replication, and clustering strategies to meet business requirements.
• Administer database security by managing user IDs, roles, and encryption keys in compliance with policies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL DBA administration.
• Expertise in both logical and physical DBA workflows.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and SQL scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud database environments.
• Experience managing DBMS installations, configurations, and maintenance.
• Competency in database schema creation and system-level object maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Change, Incident, SR, and Problem management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with capacity planning, storage allocation, and patch/vulnerability management.
• Ability to conduct risk and impact analysis for database changes.
