Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server and PostgreSQL instances within an AWS cloud environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server and PostgreSQL instances on cloud infrastructure.
• Provision infrastructure using Terraform and manage AWS services including RDS, EC2, EBS, S3, EFS, VPC, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Execute application migration plans from on-premises to the cloud.
• Develop business continuity, disaster recovery, fail-over, and run-book documentation.
• Monitor system and database performance to identify bottlenecks and implement fixes.

Required Skills

• Experience administering SQL Server or PostgreSQL on cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: RDS, EC2, EBS, S3, EFS, VPC, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing fundamentals: firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, and security.
• Knowledge of AWS Lambda, Redshift, Route 53, CloudTrail, EMR, Data Pipeline, and API Gateway.
• Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database refresh/restore.
• Ability to manage vendor relations, patching, and change management.
• Competency in vulnerability and risk management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Lightsail.
