Description

You will design, re-engineer, and maintain SQL database solutions for criminal justice systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade existing SQL 2016 environments to SQL 2022.
• Design, configure, implement, and document MS SQL Azure Database, Managed Services, and AVS Instances.
• Configure and maintain database servers, including backup, restore, and system health monitoring.
• Migrate objects between regions and automate regular maintenance processes.
• Assist developers with query optimization and perform after-hours release deployments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration and solution architecture.
• Expertise in MS SQL Azure Database and Managed Services.
• Hands-on experience with SQL 2016 and SQL 2022 upgrades.
• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Database Servers.
• Strong understanding of data encryption and database compliance.
• Ability to analyze, solve, and correct complex database issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AVS Instances.
