Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL database servers to ensure system stability, security, and performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL DB Server software, including regular upgrades and patching.
• Define, monitor, and test backup processes and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor database performance to identify bottlenecks and implement fixes.
• Automate routine tasks by scheduling jobs and running SQL scripts.
• Manage database security by creating accounts and granting access at the DB level.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of SQL DBA experience.
• Proficiency with SQL DB Server and writing SQL scripts.
• Experience with High Availability technologies: Clustering, Mirroring, Log Shipping, Always On (AO), and Replication.
• Experience with Database Encryption: Column Level, TDE, or Format Preserving.
• Expertise in Database Performance Tuning, Benchmarking, and Trending.
• Proven ability in Database Capacity Planning.
• Ability to document processes, procedures, and maintain a knowledge base.

Preferred Skills

• Any Graduate degree.
