Description

You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for MSSQL, Sybase, and PostgreSQL environments, leading automation initiatives and resolving complex performance issues.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex database performance issues across MSSQL, Sybase, and PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement automation solutions as part of the leadership team.
• Manage existing and new IT database products and services.
• Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements.
• Perform SME activities for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in large and complex database environments.
• Proven experience with Sybase and MSSQL administration.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL database administration tasks.
• Strong experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Log Shipping, mirroring, replication, Always ON).
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Database Administration.
• Familiarity with UNIX platform system administration and Shell scripting.
• Experience supporting large infrastructure for incident/change management.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts and processes.
• Experience with Azure environments is required.
