Description

You will support SQL and VectorDB technology projects as a database engineer.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Automate repetitive tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Groovy.
• Design and develop high availability solutions including Always-on AGs, Distributed AGs, replication, and mirroring.
• Manage SQL Server upgrades, including in-place upgrades with AG, DAG, and Windows failover clusters.
• Execute database migrations and manage backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Administer SQL Always clusters and optimize database performance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in large organizations, preferably within banking.
• Expertise in SQL Server administration and MSSQL features (2016 and higher).
• Deep knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
• Experience with Redis Enterprise on OpenShift, including Active-Active, Auto tiering/FlexDB, and Vector Index management.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and ArgoCD.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Technical knowledge of Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V environments.
• Experience with security features including Auditing and TLS.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Agile working practices.
