Description

You will design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance, security, and availability. You own the full lifecycle of database objects, from schema design to query optimization and ETL integration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, schemas, and technical documentation.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Perform database performance tuning, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Develop and manage ETL processes for data migration and integration initiatives.
• Monitor database health, backups, recovery processes, and security compliance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of SQL development experience with strong PostgreSQL expertise (Version 12+).
• Advanced SQL programming, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views.
• Deep knowledge of database design, normalization, de-normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Proven experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data migration tools.
• Proficiency in backup, recovery, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
