Description

You will own data integrity, reporting applications, and database performance in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient ETL frameworks and processes for data movement.
• Design and build data models, schemas, views, and tables.
• Migrate database objects from on-premises environments to the cloud.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, addressing I/O bottlenecks and SQL tuning.
• Automate alerts, health-checks, and administrative tasks using scripting.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of SQL Server experience, including versions 2016 or 2017.
• 5+ years of experience in SSIS package development.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL tuning.
• Experience with SSRS and Microsoft BI tools.
• Ability to provide production support for complex database issues.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts, including data marts and data lakes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure, Synapse, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of database modeling and schemas.
