Description

You will own the maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incident-based support tickets and user inquiries regarding software or hardware operation.
• Perform remote software installations, hardware testing, and computer diagnostics to investigate problems.
• Manage database maintenance including rebuilding indexes, performing integrity checks, and managing backup and recovery processes.
• Execute commands and observe system functioning to verify operations and detect errors.
• Maintain detailed records of data communication transactions, remedial actions, and installation activities.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration (2008R2 through 2016).
• Experience installing SQL Server on 32-bit and x64-bit Windows Operating Systems.
• Proven experience migrating SQL Server versions (e.g., 2008 to 2012, 2012 to 2014/2016).
• Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, and Query Analyzer.
• Hands-on experience with database Backup, Restore, Recovery, and Linked servers.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery methods including Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, and Clustering.
• Experience applying service packs, patches, and managing SQL Server jobs.
• Strong background in customer-facing technical support and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working within Windows environments.

Preferred Skills

• 1+ years of experience with Azure.
• Experience with scripting.
