Description

We need a senior (10+ years, 15 preferred) SQL Developer to Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views to support business and reporting needs and partner closely with SSIS developers to support and troubleshoot ETL packages, data flows, and integration processes.
They will also collaborate with Power BI developers to ensure data models and underlying SQL structures support efficient, accurate reporting and dashboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views to support business and reporting needs
• Partner closely with SSIS developers to support and troubleshoot ETL packages, data flows, and integration processes
• Collaborate with Power BI developers to ensure data models and underlying SQL structures support efficient, accurate reporting and dashboarding
• Perform data profiling, validation, and quality checks across source and target systems
• Tune queries and indexes for performance across large, complex datasets
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications in partnership with stakeholders across the business and technology teams
• Document data flows, schema changes, and technical processes for ongoing maintainability
• Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, performance issues, and pipeline failures

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex T-SQL (SQL Server preferred)
• Demonstrated experience working alongside SSIS developers on ETL/data integration processes
• Demonstrated experience working alongside Power BI developers, with an understanding of how data models feed reporting layers
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in a long-term consulting capacity, managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services experience (asset management, hedge fund, private credit, or related) is a strong plus
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Experience supporting front-, middle-, or back-office reporting functions within financial services
